The Contest at Seatac last Friday was awesome! There were lots of people and tons of free stuff for everybody that showed up. Jason Singler took first in the Sponsored Category and here he is busting a 360 flip over the pyramid! Josh Mcloughlin got first in the 11-15 Category and I don't know the rest but it was a good one. Thanks to 35th South and the City of Seatac.

This has been a good month for local videos. The first premiere was "Smells Like Tacoma"! This is the first full length video to ever come out of Tacoma and it's produced by Dan Heassler II. The video contains footage collected over 8 years between Seattle and Tacoma and San Diego featuring skateboarding from Robo Repp, Aaron Johnson and Joe McLellan just to name a few. The video has Tyrone Olson's best part I've ever seen and some classic Steve Olson footy as well! Hopefully "Smells Like Tacoma" will be in shops soon!

Reilly Schlitt's "Psycho Skate" Video is finally out and it premiered with the Innerspace Video a couple of weeks ago. It features full parts from Michael Patterson, Brandon Taylor, Tyler Dubois, Max Lovelace and plenty of others and it's put together in a hilarious manner! You can get "Psycho Skate" at your local shop!

Today I'm giving myself the Pic of the Week just to show off that I had Battle Ground Skate Park all to myself on Monday at 1 pm! This is one of the best parks in the country but it's always way too crowded to skate! I would suggest taking the day off work or skipping school before Summer officially starts and you won't get another opportunity until Summer ends! Photo by Suzanne Snow!

SEATTLE, WA
"Seattle is a really big, small city with some quality humans doing radical things. The air is clean, the girls are babes, and a good chunk of the music on your iPod is from there. The skate scene is tight, hosting some of the most talented shredders that have ever graced a skateboard, the art scene is bangin’ and everyone keeps it weird. Most of the photos you are looking at are from some very radical art shows and parties over the last few years. Local artist NKO and his Free Sheep Foundation organize these speakeasy-type art venues with bands, booze, beautiful girls and, of course, completely mind blowing art. Usually the events take place in buildings that have a set date for demolition, and when the element of destruction is in the mix, things can get completely out of control. To get you non-Seattleites hip we’ve enlisted Creighton Barret from Band of Horses to compile a list of the best things in the Emerald City. If you want the golden ticket to Seattle take note! Tear out this page and glue it to your forehead, because this list is so perfectly righteous!"

35th Avenue in Federal Way recently released boards and tees dedicated to William Somtoa who was killed by a drunk driver in January 2009. For those who never had the priviledge to meet William, he was super positive and just fun to be around. He was a long time customer turned employee. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit William's family. The boards are very limited with graphics done by 16 year old Bobby Davis, so get yours now before they're gone!

We cruised by the new Sea Sk8 location yesterday and Grindline started the actual skatepark pour so it looks like this 20 project will be up and running by July 15th of this year! Do us a favor and don't go asking the workers stupid questions because it will only slow down the construction but rest assured, it's going to be a good one!

Today's pic of the week goes out to Andy Froberg with a pole jam nollie off at the "Graveyard" We call this place the Graveyard because it has a swamp lake next to the gap and everybody's board went in the water at least once.
